About this Artwork
These artworks are cyanotypes, with French watercolour pigments applied. The cyanotype (sun print or blue print) an historic photographic printing process, was discovered by Sir John Herschel (1792–1871) in 1842, and practiced for over 170 years and was one of the earliest simple non-silver iron photographic printing process. It was used widely commercially and artistically for many years. Every individual image created is unique state, that is, each one has unique variations.
