About this Artwok
The Australian Rainforest is a magical and fascinating environment that is home to complex eco-systems and an abundance of exquisite plant species. The artist's garden, twenty five acres of secluded sub-tropical landscape, is considered one of the best private gardens in the Byron Bay Hinterland. The gardens are a never ending source of inspiration and delight.

The original artwork is created using a 19th-century photographic printing process called Gum Bichromate printing, which involves layering single colour watercolour pigments that are prepared in a light sensitive emulsion and exposing each layer of pigment to uv light using single colour split negatives. Gum bichromate prints are capable of rendering painterly images from photographic negatives. The process is labour intensive and every individual image created is unique state, that is, each one has unique variations.
